No. 1: 49ers Win by Two Scores

Well, there are the odds. The 49ers are favored in this one.

But let’s take the Niners beating the spread, too.

This isn’t an overly complicated prediction. To figure it out, let’s just look at the point differentials for both squads.

More from SF 49ers News

Cleveland enters the contest, not surprisingly, with a minus-0.5 point differential — 20th overall in the league, and indicative of a team boasting a .500 record.

San Francisco, meanwhile, ranks second in point differential behind the New England Patriots, with its plus-14.0 mark. And while the Pats’ plus-23.8 differential is impressive, the Niners haven’t received the dubious responsibility of playing the lowly Miami Dolphins this season.

So, credit the 49ers here.

On top of that, Kyle Shanahan should have been able to use the added week from the bye to prepare and game plan for his next opponent, Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens, who was completely outmatched against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 3.

If the Niners get that kind of Kitchens in Week 5, they win by two scores.
