877. . Cornerback. Mountaineers . Keith Washington. 127. player
The 49ers need to think of the future in several positions, and the secondary is one of those places.
Keith Washington has been a solid corner for the West Virginia Mountaineers after joining from junior college. Before that, he was a special teamer for Michigan.
Last season, Washington had 40 tackles, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble, nine pass deflections and two interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown.
He’s started strong this season, equaling his interception tally of two interceptions and having three pass deflections.
Washington is a little skinny for his 6-foot-1 frame at 178 pounds, but he can fill into that. He has the ability to be coached up into a starter, which would be a good result for a fourth-round selection.
