Here you go, Chiefs fans. You win the Super Bowl, based off the NFL Draft order.

Now that the hype has died down, there’s still no way to get around the fact the Chiefs can outscore teams, but those same teams have had little trouble moving the ball and scoring on Kansas City, too.

And just imagine how dynamic and dominant the Chiefs could be if they anything resembling a good defense. True, this unit is going through some transformation, after a number of changes entering 2019. But there are still some glaring needs.

One of those in particular is at cornerback. There’s not a lot of talent or depth here, and it would be smart for the Chiefs to find some sort of long-term boundary option with plenty of upside.

Stanford cornerback Paulson Adebo is seeing his stock rise steadily, and there’s a good chance he winds up going higher than the last pick in Round 1. If the 6-foot-1, 1840-pound defensive back continues to impress, he’ll likely go in the teens.

For now, though, the Chiefs would be more than happy finding someone capable of locking down an opponent’s top receiving threat, using a combination of physicality and aggressiveness at the point of the catch.
