Another team likely thinking about replacing its quarterback is the Minnesota Vikings.

Granted, Kirk Cousins has one more year after this season on his fully guaranteed contract. He’ll still be in Minnesota in 2020, although the year-plus results of Cousins’ tenure with the Vikings has been less than desirable.

That said, there isn’t exactly a lot of quarterbacking value at this point in the NFL Draft. Not with some of the top names gone already. And while that surely will change between now and draft day, along with Minnesota’s draft positioning, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to start thinking about adding some future weapons for whoever is under center in 2021.

The Vikings have something of a weird situation going at wide receiver right now. Adam Thielen hasn’t been his prolific self this season, while Stefon Diggs — plus his hefty contract — has become the subject of possible trade rumors, too.

If Minnesota wants to get cheaper, going after Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb could be the right move to make for both now and the future.
