2020 NFL Draft: 32-team Round 1 mock after Week 4
By Peter Panacy
Ideally, the Indianapolis Colts would see Grant Delpit fall to them at the tail end of the top 10 picks in the NFL Draft. Safety would be a nice addition here, especially considering a revamp of what’s becoming a young, budding secondary.
That said, going after a boundary cornerback in Virginia’s Bryce Hall would be a solid move, too.
Doing so would allow Indianapolis to move on from veteran corner Pierre Desire, who is signed through 2021, albeit with zero in guaranteed money after this season.
Simply put, Hall has the projections to be a long-term solution on the outside, which could provide quite the tandem with fellow corner Rock Ya-Sin.
So far in 2019, it’s looking like quarterback Jacoby Brissett can be the long-term fixture under center, holding the line well enough after Andrew Luck’s retirement during the preseason. Cross the Colts off the list of quarterback-needy teams hunting early at the position in next year’s draft.
