42. . . . Nick Bosa. 1. player
This should be a no-brainer.
Nick Bosa has made a massive difference for San Francisco’s defense. This, despite the fact he’s dealt with a nagging ankle injury he suffered during training camp.
Bosa’s traditional stats don’t say much. He has just four tackles and a sack, the latter of which was picked up way back in Week 1. Diving a bit deeper, though, it’s possible to see why Bosa’s presence has made such a difference.
According to Pro Football Focus, Bosa already leads the team with 11 pressures on the season. That’s nearly double the amount from the No. 2 player on this list, defensive tackle Arik Armstead, who has six.
Ignore the stat sheet- Nick Bosa was dominant vs PIT.

Just think, those efforts are coming from a still-injured Bosa.
When he’s fully healthy, the 49ers could end up getting some of the best rookie pass-rush production they’ve had since former outside linebacker Aldon Smith.

And pretty soon, those pressures will start turning into sacks.
