L, 31-21 vs. Cowboys

The Washington Redskins move up a spot in our NFL power rankings this week, although that has more to do with what some of the other teams did to fall behind them entering Week 3.

In fairness to Washington, it has had two tough matchups to start 2019. First, against the Philadelphia Eagles, in which the Redskins put up a good fight, only to cough up the lead after halftime. Then, on Sunday, they had to deal with a Dallas Cowboys squad, which managed 474 yards of total offense in Week 2.

Adrian Peterson got the start at running back. But the 34-year-old future Hall of Famer didn’t have much of an impact, picking up a mere 25 yards on 10 carries.

Quarterback Case Keenum was good, however, tossing two touchdowns against zero interceptions.

But that wasn’t enough to stop Dallas’ offense, which rode quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott to another NFC East victory here.
