W, 16-14 @ Broncos

Hey, a win is a win. And the Bears make up for their ugly, low-scoring loss against the Packers in Week 1 by pulling off a game-winning field goal on the road against the Broncos.

Chicago hasn’t exactly been able to say those sort of things lately.

What’s becoming apparent, however, is the Bears offense isn’t pulling its weight over two games. Granted, both the Packers and Broncos have good defenses, yet that doesn’t help explain why quarterback Mitchell Trubisky isn’t making much of an impact at all.

In this contest, Trubisky was a mere 16-of-27 for 120 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions.

The “game manager” moniker is going to be thrown around a lot here soon, if it hasn’t already.

Fortunately, the Bears defense is picking up where it left off last season, and that fourth-quarter field goal was enough to get Chicago back to the .500 mark.

Hoping for that formula to continue all season probably isn’t the best idea for the Bears, though.
