Indianapolis Colts. 16. team. 46. . 1-1. Previous:

W, 19-17 @ Titans

Ah, yes. The flip side of the Colts and Titans story.

Jacoby Brissett was impressive, tossing his three touchdowns and passing for a cool 146 yards against what should still be a tough Tennessee defense. Based off the early results this season, Indianapolis is in no position to forfeit the season after quarterback Andrew Luck’s retirement.

Brissett being under center still influences the Colts being a middle-of-the-pack team in our NFL power rankings, as does the 1-1 start.

Make no mistake, though. Indy could surprise some people this season. This team still has a lot of talent elsewhere.

That talent showed up on the defensive side of the ball, too, holding the Titans to just 242 all-purpose yards.

Maybe that’s the formula for any extended Colts success in 2019, which aren’t going to include kicker Adam Vinatieri after his three extra-point misses. It’s been an incredible career for the future Hall of Famer, if this is indeed it.
