L, 28-10 vs. Chiefs

Maybe the Oakland Raiders’ Week 1 win over the Denver Broncos wasn’t overly impressive, given how shoddy the Broncos have looked, offensively, these first two weeks.

Either way, the Raiders had their hands full with the visiting Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2, and the game essentially went the way one would think: Kansas City dominating the action on offense, while Oakland desperately tried to respond.

The final score tells you pretty much what you need to know, although the Raiders do get some credit for ending Kansas City’s first-quarter scoring streak. That’s enough for a moral NFL power rankings boost of one spot.

Quarterback Derek Carr was completely outclassed by the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes; the former tossing one touchdown against two interceptions and finishing with a passer rating of 61.1.

And the Raiders had zero answers against Mahomes, whose four touchdowns proved to be all the difference, as expected.

At least Raiders running back Josh Jacobs has been fun to watch.
