Offensive Line (8)

Left Tackle: Joe Staley

Left Guard: Laken Tomlinson

Center: Weston Richburg, Ben Garland

Right Guard: Mike Person, Ross Reynolds

Right Tackle: Mike McGlinchey, Shon Coleman

Again, no changes to our 49ers predictions here for Week 1. But there are some notable changes, which could ultimately affect both camp battles and roster cuts.

One seems all but ensured. San Francisco’s first-round draft pick from 2016, offensive guard Joshua Garnett, recently had surgery to repair a dislocated finger. He’s now going to miss at least three weeks, putting his status for making the 53-man roster in serious doubt. Garnett, who has long since fallen out of favor with Kyle Shanahan, was likely in danger of losing a spot anyway.

This latest setback doesn’t help matters at all.

There also could be some change among the starters, too. Center Weston Richburg is still recovering from offseason knee surgery, and he has yet to be cleared for practices. The Niners have mixed up some reserves, including Ben Garland and moving Mike Person from guard to center. But one might guess, should Richburg not be available in Week 1, Garland gets the nod.
