One of the repercussions of NFL roster battles is players being traded. Here are three players the San Francisco 49ers could trade before Week 1 of 2019.

One of the most interesting elements to watch during NFL training camps is position battles. And in that regard, the San Francisco 49ers are no different from any other team. Those battles lead to players making the rosters, getting cut or even getting traded.

With that in mind, Niner Noise takes a look at three players who could be on block before the 2019 regular season kicks off.

If there’s one thing Niners general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan have shown the proclivity for, it’s trading when the right offer comes along. That’s how the team addressed its need for a starting guard back in 2017. It’s also how they got the firepower to trade the No. 2 overall NFL Draft pick in 2017, later selecting defensive lineman Solomon Thomas and linebacker Reuben Foster in that same draft.

And of course, it was via trade Lynch and Shanahan acquired quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo from the New England Patriots for just a second-round draft pick.

Yes, it’s safe to say the front office is comfortable pulling the trigger on trade deals when they see fit. And given the team’s current roster situation, it wouldn’t be terribly surprising to see more take place before the start of the 2019 regular season.

Here are a few players who could find themselves shipped out of San Francisco, including what teams might be interested in being the 49ers’ trade partner, and what compensation could be coming back in the deal.
