Original Pick: N/A

This was the other pick used by the 49ers to move up and grab C.J. Beathard. So, in addition to retaining the fourth rounder used on Carl Lawson, the Niners also are picking first in Round 7.

Getting some additional depth along the defensive line is never a bad idea, and San Francisco uses this selection to grab Notre Dame defensive tackle Isaac Rochell, who has accounted for six sacks, including five in 2018, with the Los Angeles Chargers.

It would have been a good fit, too, considering the Chargers utilize a similar defensive alignment to the one the 49ers use.

If Rochell found success in L.A., he likely would have helped out a bit in San Francisco, too.
