48. . Quarterback. Oregon. Justin Herbert. 5. player

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are retaining embattled quarterback Jameis Winston on his fifth-year option, but he remains unsigned for next year. And if just-out-of-retirement head coach Bruce Arians wants to get his own guy under center next year, one might expect the Bucs to let Winston walk a little less than a year from now.

Tua Tagovailoa likely won’t be the only quarterback selected in the top five, especially with the 2020 NFL Draft class being a bit more loaded at this position than this year’s.

With Tagovailoa off the board, however, the QB-needy Buccaneers look to add a player who could be ranked higher than him, Oregon signal-caller Justin Herbert.

Herbert could have come out in 2019 and would have been selected high. But if he impresses enough with the Ducks in 2020, Tampa Bay getting him at No. 5 would be a wise move if he’s there.
