Linebacker. Alabama. Anfernee Jennings. 28. player. 28.

The Raiders better hope the return they got from the Chicago Bears continues to pay off after dealing away prolific EDGE Khalil Mack a year ago.

In this case, it does. At least in terms of draft capital.

Oakland made its change under center earlier in Round 1, meaning Jon Gruden and general manager Mike Mayock would be wise to address the defense again, looking to find someone to pair with Clelin Ferrell and a defense getting a complete makeover.

Alabama’s Anfernee Jennings flashed some outside pass-rush potential last year, and he’s a good playmaker at the second level.

The Raiders being able to use him in a variety of ways could help solve a number of the problems Mack’s departure created.
