2020 NFL Draft: Way-too-soon mock breakdown for all 32 teams
By Peter Panacy
The Dallas Cowboys could stand to get younger and more effective on the inside of the defensive line, namely to maximize what EDGE Demarcus Lawrence is supposed to do in the pass rush.
Considering the number of aging veterans up front, along with some under-delivering backups, finding some added thump with their first pick in the 2020 NFL Draft would be a wise move.
A player to watch here is Auburn defensive tackle Derrick Brown.
Brown, 6-foot-5 and 325 pounds, isn’t a sack specialist, by any means. But he’s more than adept at drawing multiple blockers, freeing up his edge rushers for sack opportunities.
That’s the kind of play from which Lawrence and the entire Dallas defense would benefit.
