EDGE. LSU. K'Lavon Chaisson. 19. player. 26.

The Ravens lost an awful lot of defensive talent during the offseason. And while picking up Earl Thomas should help matters some, it’s anyone’s guess how the departure of veteran EDGE Terrell Suggs to the Cardinals changes the makeup within the defensive front.

Baltimore’s success in 2019 and beyond will still be predicated on its defense, particularly with potentially offensive powerhouses in the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns looming within the AFC North.

So, focusing on the desire to replace Suggs for the long term, the Ravens elect to go with another solid pass-rusher, LSU’s K’Lavon Chaisson.

Chaisson has some injury concerns, yes. But when healthy, he could potentially be a top-10 player.

The Ravens can afford to take that kind of gamble.
