2020 NFL Draft: Way-too-soon mock breakdown for all 32 teams
By Peter Panacy
The Minnesota Vikings hope to have solved one of their biggest issues in 2019, the offensive line, by grabbing former NC State lineman Garrett Bradbury with their top pick in this year’s draft.
Minnesota’s O-line could still use some tweaking and depth, yet there’s not a ton of value at this spot. And it wouldn’t be a shock if the Vikings want to make some changes on the offensive side of the ball instead.
Yes, the Vikings already have a starting-caliber running back in Dalvin Cook. But he was banged up last year, and it wouldn’t be overly shocking to see yet another disappointing campaign from him in 2019.
Taking some pressure off Cook, potentially replacing him, would be one of college football’s top running backs to watch this season, Clemson’s Travis Etienne.
Etienne is explosive and a would-be game changer. Merely combining him with Cook could create one of the most tantalizing backfields in the league.
