2020 NFL Draft: Way-too-soon mock breakdown for all 32 teams
By Peter Panacy
The Atlanta Falcons defense was underperforming a bit last season, which means some serious changes could be on the table in 2020. Atlanta didn’t do too much to address the front seven during this year’s NFL Draft, and grabbing someone like Alabama’s Raekwon Davis would suggest those changes are on the table.
Davis could have come out in the 2019 draft, and it’s likely he would have been drafted high. Sticking around another year could change his draft stock, but the Alabama product should still be viewed as a top interior talent next year.
Especially if the Crimson Tide’s defense remains potent this season.
The Falcons would be putting an emphasis on an interior disruptor, which would have a ton of value against the balanced offenses within the NFC South.
