Most Likely to Win a Singing Competition: Joe Staley and Mike McGlinchey

About a year ago, I tweeted out a video of the 49ers’ two starting offensive tackles singing Backstreet Boys at a karaoke bar in Campbell, California:

Joe Staley immediately took Mike McGlinchey under his wing after the 49ers selected the latter No. 9 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft. And this chemistry boiled over outside the locker room and into the karaoke scene, which is never a bad thing.

Heck, it’s pretty entertaining, to say the least.

Ever since then, the duo have been known as the biggest singers on the team — no, scratch that — in the entire league.

The chemistry between the mentor and his apprentice has been one of the best parts of this team for the past year.

After they both hang up the cleats, the two would be wise to go on a show like The Voice or America’s Got Talent and showcase their non-football talents to the entire world.
