Most Likely to Piss Off a Referee: Richard Sherman

When the 49ers signed the veteran, Richard Sherman, they knew who they were getting — a premier cornerback who is going to voice his opinions, especially to the referees on the field.

Sherman has, on numerous occasions, publicly opened up about his displeasure with the league officiating and how the league’s new rules has changed the game to be more offensive-friendly, as more and more referees clamp down on pass-interference calls.

Essentially, Sherman doesn’t hold back from commenting publicly how these new rules take away a lot of what makes a defender’s job so critical.

Some players brush bad calls off and hold off on complaining. But Sherman is not one of those players, which is honestly an admirable thing. It shows his passion and leadership skills — it shows that he cares.

The referees might disagree, though.
