Round 4, Pick 104: TE Josh Oliver

At some point, veteran tight end Garrett Celek‘s production (or lack thereof) will force the 49ers to move in another direction. Many think that a second TE would be more valuable to the 49ers than another wide receiver.

In this mock, the 49ers receive both.

The benefit of Josh Oliver being a San Jose State player comes very soon; he will attend the 49ers’ local pro day, allowing the team to break him down and talk to him.

The Draft Network called Oliver a player with a high ceiling, and at this point in the draft, either you go big or you play it extremely safe.

Grabbing a player like Oliver would be a tremendous haul for the Niners in the fourth round.
