52. . Offensive Tackle. Florida. Jawaan Taylor. 7. player

This is a no-brainer pick for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Signing veteran quarterback Nick Foles in NFL free agency eliminated the Jags from being one of many teams in the hunt for relatively few prospect signal-callers. And they won’t have to worry about getting into a bidding war, either.

Despite some shakeups and free-agent departures on defense, the Jaguars still need to turn their focus to the offensive side of the ball. Finding weapons for Foles should be a top priority, but those weapons aren’t going to be very good if he’s not protected.

Right tackle is the most glaring issue right now, and Jacksonville’s pick should simply be Florida’s Jawaan Taylor, who can start right away on that side.

Taylor has since surpassed Alabama offensive tackle Jonah Williams as the draft’s top offensive line prospect, and one could argue Taylor is a better fit for the Jaguars’ system anyway.

No need for Jacksonville to get cute here. Let Taylor be the pick.
