Josh Jacobs. 27. player. 28. . Running Back. Alabama

Back on the clock go the Raiders, this time using the pick acquired from the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for wide receiver Amari Cooper.

Oakland has gone with two defensive needs for their first two picks, which were vastly needed. But now it’s time to get a little greedy and find some impact offensive performers.

Alabama’s Josh Jacobs is arguably the best running back in this year’s NFL Draft. The Raiders, meanwhile, have no clear-cut answer how they want to go about formulating the rushing attack this season. Sure, the passing game is improved with Antonio Brown and fellow wide receiver Tyrell Williams. But without a solid choice to balance it out on the ground, Jon Gruden’s offense will be hindered.

Thankfully, Jacobs is the perfect three-down back Oakland can employ to take pressure off the passing game and open things up against other AFC West teams, such as the Kansas City Chiefs, who’ll be looking to run up scores against opponents this season.

For those hoping the Raiders continue stockpiling defensive talent, don’t worry. They still have a pick early in Round 2 at No. 35 overall.
