Offensive Tackle. Ole Miss. Greg Little. 25. player. 54.

The Philadelphia Eagles have more needs than one might think. Sure, they picked up running back Jordan Howard, which likely temporarily solves that need on offense. And there’s a good chance Philly will be looking hard at all three levels of the defense, too.

At this point in the draft, though, it might be smart to finally find a long-term replacement for aging veteran tackle Jason Peters, who turned 37 years old earlier this year.

Not long ago, Ole Miss offensive tackle Greg Little was seen as the bona fide No. 2 tackle prospect behind Jonah Williams. Williams’ stock has slipped, and Little is now hanging on to the back end of Round 1.

Still, Little’s fit into head coach seemingly works for head coach Doug Pederson. Sticking around for a year under Peters’ tutelage should do Little some good, and he should be able to address any concerns about his physical abilities during that time frame.

After a short while, Peters can slide in to that starting role and anchor the next phase of the Eagles offensive line.
