The Jets certainly struck gold by moving out of the No. 3 spot in their trade with the Dolphins. And the move still puts them in position to land one of the better outside pass-rushers in this year’s class, Clemson’s Clelin Ferrell.

Ferrell’s stock has fallen a bit since the Tigers’ victory over Alabama in the 2019 College Football Playoff National Championship game. But that doesn’t mean he’s on the decline or not worthy of top-10 consideration.

The way the draft has fallen out, though, means New York can land a prolific talent at a position of need, receive more draft capital to address numerous other positions while maximizing value all at the same time.

Ferrell can start right away and should make an immediate impact in a fluid and ever-changing AFC East.
