The Buffalo Bills could go one of a number of different directions here in the NFL Draft, and a good chunk of their focus should focus on the offensive side of the ball.

  • Last preseason, Buffalo’s offensive line was about as terrible as it could be. Yet it managed to hold well enough to not make grabbing an O-lineman a mandatory priority out of the gate. That need can be addressed in later rounds, as can the need to find replacements for never-old running backs LeSean McCoy and Frank Gore.

While the Bills brought in upgrades at wide receiver — Cole Beasley, John Brown and CFL standout Duke Williams — grabbing another impact pass catcher would do wonders in helping quarterback Josh Allen reach his next level of development.

Having some bona fide targets should also make the O-line’s job much easier, too.

It’s up for debate which wide receiver should be atop the big board this year. But it would be hard to go wrong with Ole Miss’ A.J. Brown, who would be an immediate upgrade over anything Buffalo currently has on its roster. Brown separates and has all the skills necessary to help Allen out more than his other choices.
