No. 5: Guard Chris Lindstrom

Much like Niner Noise’s Jeremy Wohlfart put forward, it’s hard to go past Boston College guard Chris Lindstrom if you were to select a guard in the second round. I won’t cover too much on Lindstrom, you can read Wohlfart’s full draft profile here.

At 6-foot-4 and 308 pounds, he is a man mountain and someone any quarterback would be happy to have lining up on the offensive line.

Lindstrom started 47 of 50 games during his college career and was named in the All-ACC First Team for 2018. He has plenty of speed to go along with that frame of his as well, running a 4.91 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine.

NFL Network’s Lance Zierlein had this to say about Lindstrom’s ability:

"Lindstrom is one of the most athletic interior lineman in the 2019 draft with a rare ability to match movement quickness with anyone across from him. His quickness can place him in position to make blocks on both the first and second levels and he has an impressive ability to cover lateral space and protect his gaps as a pass blocker."

His experience at both tackle and guard, along with his unique athleticism and quickness will make him an attractive option for most teams in need of help on the offensive line.
