49ers Interested in Cornerbacks Pierre Desir, Bradley Roby

The Niners are expected to make some upgrades to their secondary this offseason, namely to provide both depth and starting potential after disappointing 2018 campaigns from cornerbacks Ahkello Witherspoon and Tarvarius Moore.

According to various reports, San Francisco has expressed interest in corners Pierre Desir and Bradley Roby, who spent last season playing with the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos, respectively:

Interestingly enough, both Desir and Roby made Niner Noise lists of players to target in NFL free agency this offseason, one from Aaron Tan and another from yours truly.

Even if either Witherspoon or Moore wind up having a bounce-back 2019 campaign, San Francisco has to eventually think about replacing Richard Sherman eventually, as he’ll turn 31 years old later this month and will be on year two of his three-year contract with the team.
