No. 6: The lights go out versus the Ravens

The score in Super Bowl XLVII was the Baltimore Ravens 28 and the 49ers 6. There was 13:22 left in the fourth quarter. Baltimore had just returned the second-half kickoff for a touchdown, then proceeded to stifle the Niners offense on the following possession.

Then the lights went out at the Louisiana Superdome.

This was the kick in the pants the Niners needed. Although they eventually lost the game, it came down to the wire. The game was decided when the Ravens stopped the Niners four times in a goal-to-go defensive stand.

Would the 49ers have gotten back into this game with a shot at victory without the power outage? Impossible to tell. Because we can ask the question, it is the reason this moment made the list.
