No. 5: General manager John Lynch has proven he is not afraid to shake things up

A little more than a year ago, the 49ers traded for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. During the 2018 offseason, the team shelled out big money for running back Jerick Mckinnon. Early during the season, general manager John Lynch made an offer on Oakland Raiders EDGE Khalil Mack, who eventually ended up being dealt to the Chicago Bears instead.

Whether it’s trading, free agency, re-signing players currently on the roster or moving within the 2019 NFL Draft, having an aggressive front office ensures that the team will not be content with the status quo. When coming off of a 4-12 season status quo is the enemy.

Of course, aggression is only beneficial if it is prudently regulated.

Expect change. Beginning with the NFL Draft, it is coming.
