Offensive Tackle Joe Staley. 5. team. 42. . .

Joe Staley doesn’t get enough respect.

The offensive tackle has been starting for the team for over 11 years, and Week 16 against the Bears was my first time seeing someone wearing a Staley jersey.

Like Gould, the former Central Michigan Chippewa has been a model of consistency for the team. He is reportedly a great presence in the locker room, and even though he has suffered through a lot of change within the organization during his tenure, he has never complained or wanted to leave. San Francisco is his home, and it is imperative that the team retires his jersey when he calls it quits.

Oh yeah, and he’s also a pretty good football player.

It is amazing how Staley is still anchoring the left side of the offensive line with ease to this day. He is the sixth-ranked offensive tackle by Pro Football Focus with a very good grade of 82.2.

He hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down, but if 2019 is Staley’s last year of playing professional football, let’s see the Niners get a ring for him.
