31. . Offensive Tackle. Alabama. Jonah Williams. 6. player

The New York Giants eventually need to replace veteran quarterback Eli Manning. And while he hasn’t exactly been spectacular this season, it’s hard to place all the Giants’ offensive woes squarely on his shoulders.

And one could easily argue if Manning’s offense line was better, his numbers would have been better, too. Football Outsiders ranked the Giants’ O-line 20th this year, and left tackle Nate Solder wasn’t exactly a quality 2018 offseason pickup.

If Justin Herbert didn’t return to Oregon, one might be enticed to mock him to New York. Since he’s out of the equation, the G-Men decide it best to rebuild up front first before reaching for a quarterback.

That means a new offensive tackle, and Alabama’s Jonah Williams is easily the best lineman in this year’s NFL Draft. He’s a plug-and-play commodity, who should start day one and immediately upgrade this beleaguered unit.

Perhaps saving Manning’s career for one more year.
