3. player. 30. . Defensive Tackle. Alabama. Quinnen Williams

The Jets need more of an outside pass-rusher than inside help heading into this NFL Draft. But passing up on such a disruptive talent like Alabama defensive tackle Quinnen Williams is simply too big a mistake to make at No. 3 overall.

Williams’ 8.0 sacks on the season already indicate he can be a disruptive pass-rushing force from within, not unlike Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald. And if there’s any crowd along the interior, Williams is the kind of player capable of pushing those players out.

Plus, anyone who watched Williams disrupt Oklahoma in Alabama’s 45-34 win back on Dec. 29 can attest to just how big a talent he is.

There are those who’d argue Williams is the second best prospect in this year’s draft class. The Niners could take him, although the plethora of interior quality defenders would make it a redundant pick.

New York, meanwhile, isn’t that deep up front, making a Williams pick relatively easy to make.
