28. . EDGE. Florida State. Brian Burns. 27. player

Raiders analysts and pundits are going to have a field day with mock NFL Draft selections this season, as Oakland wraps up its day one with three picks. The Raiders already grabbed Devin White and Derrick Brown, addressing the up-the-middle-parts of their defense.

Now it’s time to find a quality edge rusher.

He probably won’t be anywhere near the caliber of player Oakland traded away to get this selection, now-Chicago Bears EDGE Khalil Mack. But Florida State’s Brian Burns is another one of those outside rushers who has seen his stock rise from a solid day-two pick into the later stages of Round 1.

If the Raiders used all three picks to address defense, that would be awfully smart.

Just like Mike Mayock should be, right?
