Round 6: Sean Rawlings, Center, Ole Miss

Center Weston Richburg was a big free-agent signing for the 49ers last offseason but has not impressed so far, with Pro Football Focus ranking him as the 28th best center in the NFL.

Richburg deserves at least one more season, but the 49ers need to add talent behind him in case he continues to not impress.

Sean Rawlings stands out as a very underrated prospect in this draft class. He’s impressed since moving to center for the Ole Miss Rebels, and will be in the East-West Shrine Game, where he has a chance to improve his stock.

The 49ers need to upgrade all along its interior line, and if they could land an underrated blocking prospect late in the draft, it would go very far in helping the team plug the holes in its roster.
