Round 3: D’Andre Walker, Linebacker, Georgia

With the Reuben Foster selection officially a bust for the 49ers, an early selection must be spent on upgrading around impressive rookie linebacker Fred Warner.

D’Andre Walker is a decent coverage linebacker, but his real strength lies in run defending. He would figure to be a good partner to Warner, who is more of a coverage linebacker.

Walker has flashed some good pass-rushing skills as well, notching a combined 13 sacks in the previous two seasons for the Georgia Bulldogs.

Equally impressive is his four forced fumbles for the Bulldogs also; this is a man who knows how to hit hard and well.

The 49ers looked like they’ve scored a hit with Warner from the previous NFL Draft, and lightning could strike twice.
