No. 3: Defensive Tackle DeForest Buckner

Getting pressure on Russell Wilson is never an easy task. And while the mobile quarterback isn’t rushing as much as he has in years prior, he’s still more than capable at eluding pressure despite taking a whopping 39 sacks already this year.

The 49ers pass rush has been problematic in 2018, to say the least. Fortunately, however, the interior pass rush from defensive tackle DeForest Buckner has been exceptional. He leads the Niners defense with 9.0 sacks, surpassing his 2017 total by six already with three games left to play.

Buckner managed two sacks of Wilson back in Week 13 — one of three San Francisco recorded during the game.

Considering Football Outsiders ranks Seattle’s offensive line 29th in pass protection this season, it’s safe to say Buckner should get some additional chances this weekend.
