From an outsider’s perspective, it’s hard to pick apart the Kansas City Chiefs when they’re winning games like crazy. Especially with that offense and second-year quarterback Patrick Mahomes setting records and poised to take home MVP accolades.

Kansas City’s offense has done such a good job this season that many forget just how bad its defense is. And that should be a major focus heading into the offseason, particularly on the back end where a lack of standout defensive backs is glaring.

Clemson cornerback Trayvon Mullen is a name to watch between now and the NFL Draft. He’s not a top name on a lot of big boards, although Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller likes him a lot, writing:

"The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Mullen has turned heads every week this season and has the tools of a top-20 pick. On the field, teams love his size and length, as it’s mixed with what looks like top-tier speed. It won’t be a surprise if Mullen overtakes LSU’s Greedy Williams as the top corner for some teams."

Interestingly enough, Mullen is No. 8 on Miller’s big board.

Mullen’s size and speed makes him enticing enough for the Chiefs to target him late in Round 1.
