Michigan. Rashan Gary. 18. player. 46. . Defensive Tackle

The Indianapolis Colts have done a good job turning the page this season, surprising many with an increasingly good play of their offensive line and solid returns from quarterback Andrew Luck. Indy might still be a year away from legitimate playoff contention, but there are plenty of pieces in place.

General manager Chris Ballard has done a nice job putting in some solid defenders, although there’s still some work to be done along the defensive line.

Especially in the middle, where the Colts interior defenders need some help. Fortunately, Michigan defensive tackle Rashan Gary is still available in this mock, and he would make plenty of sense here.

Gary is a disruptive force, already showing prowess against both the run and pass. If defensive end Jabaal Sheard sticks around in 2019 and isn’t a cap casualty, it would be prudent for Ballard and Co. to provide some thump to take some pressure off one of their better pass-rushers.
