59. . Quarterback. Missouri. Drew Lock. 13. player

Well, it might be time for the Miami Dolphins to move on from oft-injured and underperforming quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

Tannehill’s current contract will make this difficult, especially with nearly $13.5 million in dead money if cut this offseason. But after missing all of 2017 and appearing in just six games this year so far, the only way for the Dolphins to regain any sort of relevance in the AFC East is to make an aggressive change under center.

Unless, of course, they’re comfortable continuing to throw Brock Osweiler out there.

Missouri quarterback Drew Lock has his merits here. He’s one of those prospective quarterbacks all over big boards. NFL Draft Scout has him ranked the No. 1 signal-caller, while he misses out on Mel Kiper’s top-25 big board altogether, coming in behind quarterbacks Justin Herbert and Dwayne Haskins.

Either way, the Dolphins do have other needs, especially in the pass-rush department. But making a change under center is something they can’t sleep on, particularly in a deep defensive class.

Lock it in for Lock.
