No. 1: EDGE DeMarcus Lawrence

At the end of the 2017 season, 49ers fans everywhere agreed that the team needed to focus its offseason attention on improving the pass rush.

At the end of the 2018 season, it is safe to say 49ers fans everywhere will agree that the team needs to focus its offseason attention on improving the pass rush.

Let’s see if this year the team takes action to improve the team’s most glaring weakness. If they do, they should go after Dallas Cowboys EDGE DeMarcus Lawrence.

Lawrence was franchised this year by the Cowboys, and it is still uncertain how they will handle his contract status for 2019

Lawrence has truly come into his own as a player over the last two seasons. At only 26 years old, he is coming off a 14.5-sack campaign and already has 8.5 in 2018.

Lawrence will not come cheap and has said as much.
