5 49ers players who should see more playing time vs. Buccaneers

No. 4: Defensive Back Tarvarius Moore
Last month, defensive coordinator Robert Saleh told the press rookie defensive back Tarvarius Moore was making big strides towards becoming a regular contributor at cornerback.
This, after the 49ers drafted Moore in Round 3 of this year’s NFL Draft with the hopes of converting the lanky, speedy safety to a boundary corner and a fit in Saleh’s Cover 3 zone-style defense.
Moore has seen just 28 defensive snaps this season, just over four percent. If the Niners had clear-cut studs on the outside, it would be understandable Moore would have a tough time cracking the secondary’s rotation.
That’s not the case, though. Second-year corner Ahkello Witherspoon has regressed, and it’s looking more and more like San Francisco will have to make another investment to address this position during the offseason.
But if Moore is able to flash a few moments of promise over the final five games, starting in Tampa Bay, that need might not be quite as pressing as initially thought.
Either way, there’s little reason to not put Moore out there on a regular basis to see what he can do.
