Week 15 vs. Seattle Seahawks

Two games against the Seahawks in three weeks, eh?

After a projected loss in Seattle, the 49ers have a chance to enact some vengeance and pull off their first win over the Seahawks since 2013.

Yeah, it’s been a long time.

At any rate, the Seahawks are 3-1 on the road this season. So all that chatter about Seattle not being able to win on the road is gone, even after all the player and coaching departures from the offseason.

If San Francisco has something going for it, though, it’s back-to-back home games.

Why the 49ers Win

Here’s where the NFL schedule makers did the Niners a bit of a favor. While playing at Levi’s Stadium in back-to-back weeks, the Seahawks will be coming off a short week against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football.

While the Vikings haven’t been quite as dominant this season, it will still be a physical matchup for San Francisco’s NFC West rivals.

The 49ers win this game if Seattle is sluggish and banged up, which is an entirely real possibility.

Why the 49ers Lose

Seattle is still significantly better than San Francisco right now. And despite the schedule being in favor of the Niners, Wilson has far more weapons at his disposal.

And the Seahawks defense is notably better too.

This probably winds up being one of those games the Niners turn the ball over too many times, as the Seahawks rank third in the league with 16 defensive takeaways.

That’ll hurt San Francisco’s chances.

Prediction: Seahawks 24, 49ers 10
