Offensive Line

Center: Weston Richburg

Guards: Laken Tomlinson, Mike Person

Tackles: Joe Staley, Mike McGlinchey

No changes here. Well, not really. The only thing that would need to happen is the 49ers have to re-sign right guard Mike Person, who joined the Niners on a one-year contract in 2018.

Person hasn’t been flashy or anything. But he appears to be a favorite of Kyle Shanahan. And having a player with the versatility and flexibility Person possession is of extreme value. Don’t overlook that.

The 49ers appear to have made the right move at No. 9 overall in this year’s NFL Draft, taking right tackle Mike McGlinchey, and he’s quietly emerging as one of the better young lineman in the league today.

Heck, the entire San Francisco offensive line has been solid this season. Just ask Pro Football Focus, which had three of the Niners’ starting five (McGlinchey, Laken Tomlinson and Joe Staley) on its Week 6 Team of the Week.

All those O-line investments this season have paid off nicely. And building from the trenches is never a bad idea.
