51. . EDGE. Michigan. Chase Winovich. 32. player

The Los Angeles Rams are in win-now mode and don’t have a tremendous amount of needs on either side of the ball. Sure, the offensive line is getting a bit older and could infuse some youth. Defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is signed for only one year. But that’s OK, because fellow DT Aaron Donald is arguably the best player in football right now.

Despite the star-studded defense, the Rams haven’t exactly invested heavily in their outside pass rush. It’s not a pressing worry. But when their first pick of the NFL Draft is going to be a luxury selection no matter what, L.A. can afford to have a bit of fun here.

EDGE Chase Winovich certainly has his limitations as a pass-rusher. His moves aren’t particularly varied, and his bend isn’t great. But he still plays with a tenacity that would make most defensive coordinators perfectly happy with his presence on the field.

Oh, and he holds his own in run support too — vital in the run-happy NFC West.

So that closes out Niner Noise’s latest league-wide mock draft, and you can bet there will be notable changes between now and what we dish out next.
