The Pittsburgh Steelers are appearing to be more of a hot mess than anything else this season. And while they have enough talent to remain competitive enough for a postseason berth, it’s pretty clear there are more than a few problems to address this upcoming offseason and NFL Draft.

Pittsburgh could go running back here, but the team appears pretty sold on James Conner, who’ll likely retain starting duties regardless whatever happens with Le’Veon Bell this season and beyond.

Instead, the real issues are on defense. The absence of linebacker Ryan Shazier (back) continues to be felt, so why not grab the best inside backer in this year’s draft class?

Notre Dame’s Te’von Coney is a solid choice here at No. 19.

Coney needs to work on his coverage skills at the pro level. But he’s excellent against the run, and even that’s an area the Steelers need some improvement.
