52. . W, 31-20 vs. Patriots. Previous: . Jacksonville Jaguars. 4. team

Last year in the AFC Championship game, Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone played it conservatively against the Patriots.

In Week 2 at home, though, he didn’t. And that approach worked.

It’s also crazy to think how quarterback Blake Bortles looked like an MVP-caliber performer during the game, passing for 377 yards, four touchdowns against one interception and a passer rating of 111.1. That’s impressive, just as much as wide receiver Keelan Cole’s seven-catch, 116-yard and one-touchdown performance.

Especially this grab by Cole. Wow!

Jacksonville’s 21-3 lead at the half was pretty indicative of Bortles and Cole’s efforts during the game. Along with the defense, the Jaguars were able to put the Pats in a position where they’ve been before — coming from behind late.

In 2017, the Patriots’ second-half comeback would have resulted in a Jaguars loss. But Marrone kept up the momentum late, answering New England’s 17-point second half with 10 of the Jaguars’ own.

Good job, Jacksonville. Impressive.
