NFL power rankings: 32-team overreactions heading into Week 2
By Peter Panacy
Dolphins wide receiver Kenny Stills was a reason alone to move Miami up a spot in NFL power rankings heading into Week 2. He was awesome, logging four catches for 106 yards and two touchdowns — vital in the Dolphins 27-20 weather-delayed win over the visiting Tennessee Titans.
Kick returner Jakeem Grant helped seal the deal too, coming up with a 102-yard return after lightning threats added to the delayed game.
Good for them. And good for head coach Adam Gase, who has seen his team massively overhauled during the offseason.
Quarterback Ryan Tannehill wasn’t particularly impressive, but he did manage those two touchdown passes to Stills on the day. Meanwhile, veteran running back Frank Gore continues to churn out yardage.
We’ll see if the Dolphins can build off this early momentum. But at least they’re off on the right foot.
