NFL power rankings: 32-team post-preseason breakdown ahead of Week 1
By Peter Panacy
No NFL power rankings movement for the Miami Dolphins, who have looked pretty shaky this preseason and couldn’t muster much of a first-team offensive effort against the Baltimore Ravens in exhibition Week 3.
It’s a preseason narrative, so it doesn’t mean much. But there are a few key takeaways — both good and bad — from head coach Adam Gase’s squad.
First, the good. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill looked solid enough, going 11-of-15 for 115 yards and a touchdown. If he can shoulder the offensive load over 2018, the Dolphins should have little trouble climbing out of the bottom three.
On the negative side, however, Miami’s run defense was about as atrocious as it gets. Second-half stats included, this group allowed Baltimore to run rampant to the tune of 223 yards.
Yes, you read that right. And it’s a problem.
